London

Searching for a honeymoon travel destination where you will be able to enjoy the mysterious atmosphere of ancient European streets, have a big deal of breathtaking shopping and satisfy your cultural lust for performances, museums and exhibitions, travel to London and you will get it all in one place!

A wide variety of activities will never leave you bored. Feel the romantic spirit of the Shakespearean times in the open-air Globe Theatre. Admire the pomposity of the changing of the Guard, which became almost a ritual. Walk down the Piccadilly and take your tea at the Ritz saturated with the air of luxury. Wonder at the antiquity of the city at the well-known British Museum. Equal with high-flying birds enjoying the adorable London’s cityscape from the highness of the London Eye. Have a cruise on the Thames enjoying London “from the inside”, as the river sees it.

Calm, romantic and quiet parks of the city will open to you its hidden places, which can be called masterpieces of the park art.

Remember: you can explore this magnificent honeymoon travel destination using the Tube, or from the windows of its famous double-deckers or black cabs. But the best way to see and feel the city is to walk through it. If you have time, you can walk all over the city with your spouse, wondering each day at London’s greatness and might.

Of course, it is also a good idea to sign up for the bus tour – there is less romance in it, but you will see more landmarks for the shorter period of time.

Not only the city tour would be interesting enough, but also trips to some places out of London would make your honeymoon even more interesting. There are lots of places worth visiting. For example, one can’t but visit world-known Stonehenge with its over-the-centuries mystery. Or visit a city which history dates back two millenniums – the city of Bath in Somerset. There are lots of ideas of where to go, and everything depends only on your wishes and possibilities.

Actually, there hardly is a woman who doesn’t like shopping. If you (or your wife) are one of such people, you should travel to London just for this purpose. Thousands of trendy boutiques and glamorous shops are always waiting for you here. For example, Harrods can always offer you something you would love to buy – it has the reputation of a store where you can find everything to your heart’s content. Don’t miss your chance!

Considering the weather, try not to forget that the best time for having your honeymoon in London is July. Unfortunately, this little tip is known by lots of people, so the city can be a bit crowded during that time. However, take an umbrella with you whenever you come to London – just to be on the safe side.

It is a stunning city.  One of its main appeals is its cultural diversity.  Chinatown, for example, is a great place to eat, with numerous restaurants serving a wide range of delicacies.  Every Chinese New Year, London celebrates with numerous parades and performances taking place in Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square and Chinatown.

When I was a little girl I was dreaming about wearing crown of Princess.
My father told me that he knows where I can meet real Princes and find not fantastic but real palaces.
Daddy gave me a short but fabulous story about Great Britain and about ancient city London. And from that moment I realized that I had a dream.
Can you believe that nowadays it is possible to find Queen with her Palace?!
When I first came to London I was so excited because my dream was coming true. First of all I went or even run :) to find Buckingham Palace. It is a place which shows all the power and elegance of England and its inhabitants. Every day from April till August promptly at 11:30 you can become a witness of changing of the Guard Ceremony.
Believe me it is something unusual. In the 21st century it is impossible to see something like this!!!
So if you will plan to go to London you should visit this amazing building with special and unbelievable ceremony.
p.s. The beginning of changing of the Guard Ceremony is at 11:30. Don’t miss it ;)

When I was 11years old my mother bought me a studying trip to UK. We stayed at Brighton. Everyday I went to school with my new foreign friends and every weekend our teachers organized different amazing excursions to various cities that were situated not far from our location. One of them was a little trip to London. We used the train to get to the capital of Great Britain. The first place which we visited was Madame Tusso’s museum. There were a variety of statues wich were copies of real famous people. Monument of Arnold Schwarzenegger left a great impression on my child’s mind, cause he was so real! I recommend you to visit this exiting place of interest (especially with your children).

Last year we went to London with our son to see the friends of mine. They showed us so many interesting places we were merely enamored! We, adults, enjoyed seeing different historical sites like Tower, famous Big Ben, Buckingham palace, the Trafalgar square and the building of Parliament, but our 6-year-old was a bit bored by those places, so take into the consideration the age of your child when going somewhere. But what we all liked was the London Eye, though Jimmy was at first afraid of going there, but then we couldn’t take him out of that attraction! We also had a perfect rest at Regent’s park and its zoo. There was a great variety of animals and a penguin show. There your child can also play at children play area, while parents have a possibility to chat!

Our tour to London was really romantic and fantastic. We enjoyed the hotel where we stayed – The Royal Trafalgar Hotel. The atmosphere was very friendly, reception staff – helpful and welcoming. Well furnished clean room with a large bed. We chose this hotel because it’s near the Trafalgar Square, next to the National Portrait Gallery. So our first excursion was there. I know that there are portraits of famous English painters Hogarth, Reynolds, but it was a surprise to see the Beatles, JK Rowling and others. We spent a lot of time in the city watching its magnificent buildings, palaces and romantic parks. And of course we tried traditional British food in the Dean Street Townhouse Dining Room. It was so tasty – mince, potatoes, fruit scones for tea, famous Yorkshire puddings and roasties! You need a lot of time to see all tourist attractions of this great city but we hope to come here again.

My fiancé and I went to London for a romantic tour and spent there 5 days and 4 nights. This city is just great and everything there is gorgeous! You can feel a special atmosphere of this place wherever you go. First of all we went to see the London Eye and had a ride on it. I’ve never seen anything of the kind before, can’t even describe that feeling – it’s just what you have to experience yourself!
In the evening we had a dinner cruise at London Bateaux Restaurant. There you feel like being an actor in the film about royal life! Live music, luxury ship, really tasty food (my favourite was a dessert – a kind of chocolate biscuits with caramel). And of course dress-code! Now my dream is to go to London for our honeymoon after wedding in October :)
