This is a nice island, where you can spend your time and money successfully. We went there with my friends to spend 15 days without our daily routine. We are students and we count our money as stricty as nobody else but at the same time we want to travel to some desirable places. We took all we needed with us. After we arrived at Maui we went to Kahakuloa Head. We read a lot of different interesting and magic stories about this place, so we found the best place on the top of the hill. For the whole 15 days we spent just $200 each and believe me that we had everything and even more than we needed ;) I recommend you to Google up and find out how you can spend less money and get more impressions.

We spent a week in Maui. We stayed at the Mahana hotel. Our unit was clean and updated. It has all you need. Modern appliances, a bath, washer, dryer, beach towels, boogie boards. The kitchen was very nicely stocked. The view from the floor to ceiling windows was fantastic! The pool was small but it was never overcrowded. Besides there was a grocery store and some restaurants across the street. The location is perfect as it is a bit away from the bustle of the downtown. A good place for a quiet, romantic, relaxing stay. We had a meal at Hula Grill. We ate in the main restaurant. The seafood dishes were delicious. The entertainment was amusing: live music and hula dancer. This place is perfect to relax and watch the sunset. And I want to tell about our hike to Waimoku Falls. The bamboo forest was unforgettable! When you get to the waterfall, don’t get too close because of falling rocks. The hike is not difficult but you should wear good shoes. Scenery was great – waterfalls and a bamboo forest! We’ve done several hikes in Hawaii but this is my favourite. I found Maui a great place and would stay here again.

We were staying at Maui Coast Hotel two years ago. What can I say, it was good. The staff was friendly, the room was clean. I liked that large plasma TV, though we almost didn’t watch it. In fact, the place we enjoyed most was the outdoor pool with live music at night. The bar by the pool served some really tasty food! But if you want more, you should nevertheless go to some restaurant. Thanks God, you don’t have to search for them for a long time, there are some of them nearby. Furthermore, it is really convenient to get around Kihei by bike, so we liked the idea of using bikes free of charge.
The thing that disappointed me greatly was the wi-fi. It was available only in public places, so I had to spend some time there every day.
In general, the hotel was quite good. 7 out of 10.
Frankly, Maui is really good wherever you stay. IMHO, best place for the honeymoon.
